Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr

Recruitment Consultant-Credit Risk and Data Science (Phoenix) at Harnham

Role: Staff Data Scientist

Salary: $215k base is the mid point. Aim for $180k - $240k with anything above needing to be VERY strong. + equity (stock options typically from 15,000 - 20,000 options, Roughly $120k - $160k)

Senior DS Salary is $150k - $185k base (stock options typically from 10,000 - 15,000, Roughly $80k - $120k)

The Role:

As a Staff Data Scientist , you will lead initiatives to improve machine learning models and services, specifically in pricing , lead scoring , and personalization . You'll work closely with engineering and business teams to turn insights into actionable strategies while helping shape the company's data science infrastructure. Strong communication skills are essential to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end data science initiatives (data gathering, feature engineering, model selection, training, and monitoring).
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to drive results.
• Enhance data science strategy and infrastructure with analysts and data engineers.
• Provide constructive feedback and actively contribute to discussions.

Requirements:

We are prioritizing the following expertise:

• Pricing: Strong experience in pricing models and optimization.
• Lead Scoring: Extensive background in lead scoring and predictive analytics.
• Expertise in Python (scikit-learn, numpy, pandas) and SQL .
• Strong machine learning and statistical modeling skills, with a deep understanding of model selection and fine-tuning.
• Experience with Generative AI .
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and provide constructive feedback.
• Snowflake and AWS experience is a plus.
• Background in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
