JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uses computational methods and tools in a specialized field (strength of metallic and composite structures, finite element analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance, etc.).
- Performs pre-dimensioning computations by implementing analytical or digital computation methods and pass judgement on the credibility of the data received and the results obtained.
- Take part in drawing up the measurement plan applicable to the tests, and analyze the results.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree with 9-15 years of relevant experience OR
- Masters Degree with 7-13 years of relevant experience
- Experience with structural mechanics simulation software including NASTRAN, PATRAN.
- Must be familiar with using UNIX computer systems.
- Familiarity and experience with other related tools such as CATIA V5 or Siemens NX desired.
- Must have knowledge and experience applying skills, tools, and judgment to the field of aircraft primary structure design.
- Experience analyzing aircraft subsystems and subsystem installations highly desired.
- Must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings.
- Familiarity with Slim, Vision, and IDAT preferred
- Active Secret with an investigation within 5 years or CE enrolment.
