Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $62.00/hr

Location: New York City (Hybrid Schedule)

Hours: Part-Time, 20-30 hours per week

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team on a part-time basis (20-30 hours per week). This role offers a hybrid work schedule in New York City and is ideal for a tax professional with a strong background supporting investment management firms.

The Tax Manager will focus primarily on review work rather than preparation, overseeing various entity types with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance. Forms will primarily include K-1s, 1065, and 1120.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships (1065), corporations (1120), and investor reporting (K-1s).
• Manage the review process, ensuring work is performed to the highest quality standards.
• Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure tax filings are accurate and timely.
• Assist with tax planning, compliance matters, and year-end reporting.
• Stay current with tax regulations and industry changes impacting investment management clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 6+ years of relevant tax experience at a public accounting firm.
• Prior experience supporting investment management firms (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, or similar clients).
• Strong expertise reviewing K-1s, 1065s, and 1120s.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with tax preparation and review software.
