LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• Discipline: RN
• Start Date: 12/01/2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, days
• Employment Type: Travel

Experience & Certifications Required

• Minimum Experience: 1 year (first-time travelers accepted)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (Stroke Certification)
• Flu Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
• Floating: Required – all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital.
• EPIC Charting System: Required.

Skills

IV Therapy / Phlebotomy:

• Starting & Maintaining IVs
• Blood Product Administration
• Central & Peripheral Line Care
• PICC Line Management*
• Arterial Line Management*

Respiratory:

• Oxygen Administration, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC*
• Ventilated Patient Care*
• Tracheostomy & Chest Tube Management

Cardiac & Telemetry:

• Dysrhythmia Interpretation & Management
• Telemetry (On-Unit & Remote)
• Cardiac/Vasoactive Drips (Manage & Titrate)
• Rapid Response/Code Participation

Neurological:

• CVA (Stroke)*, Spinal Cord Injury, TBI

Gastrointestinal:

• Feeding Tube Care & Management

Endocrine/Metabolic:

• IV Insulin Protocols, Titration of Insulin Drips

Wound/Isolation Care:

• Wound Vac, Isolation Precautions, Surgical Drain Care*

Renal:

• Renal Failure Management

Work Schedule & Holiday Policy

• Shifts: Variable depending on assignment
• Ratios/Census:
  • PCU: 1:4–5
  • MS / MS Tele: 1:5–6
• Holidays:
  • If 1 major holiday falls within assignment → must work 1
  • If 2 major holidays fall → must work both
  • If 3 major holidays fall → must work 2
• Major Holidays:
  • New Year’s Eve & Day (Dec 31–Jan 1)
  • Spring Break (Apr 6–Apr 12 – No RTO )
  • Memorial Day (May 26)
  • Independence Day (Jul 4)
  • Labor Day (Sep 1)
  • Thanksgiving/Black Friday (Nov 27–28)
  • Christmas Eve & Day (Dec 24–25)
