Job Title: Unarmed Security Guard

Location: Portland , OR 97204

Duties:

  • Escort children from 10:30-12:30 from the center, two city blocks to the waterfront park for outdoor play.
  • The guard shall escort multiple groups of children and staff to and from the park within the designed time for park walks.
  • The guard shall stay within site and supervision of the children and staff while at the park.
  • The guard shall call for law enforcement and/or put their body physically between anyone trying to approach the staff and children. The staff will be responsible to return children safely back to the center.
  • The guard shall dispatch local law enforcement, park rangers or appropriate emergency responders while the child care staff attend to the children. ‘
  • The guard shall survey the area for potential threats and make child care staff aware of safety concerns prior to escorting to the park.
  • The guard shall provide documentation of incidents that a child care provider is required to report to licensing, city, NAEYC, GSA or other entities. .

Qualifications:

-Experience as a Security Guard and Escort

Education/Certification:

-High School Degree or GED Equivalent
