Are you an experienced and skilled veterinary assistant passionate about providing exceptional care to pets and their families? We are brand new state-of- the-art Daytime Veterinary Urgent Care Hospital in Pasadena, CA. We are seeking a dedicated veterinary assistant to join our dynamic and welcoming team. In this role, you'll help assist our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical care while ensuring a compassionate and efficient experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform technical tasks, including:
• Administering medications and vaccinations.
• Collecting diagnostic samples (e.g., blood, urine, feces).
• Taking radiographs and performing laboratory tests.
• Triage incoming patients and provide initial assessments.
• Monitor patients during treatments or recovery.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' care and treatment plans.
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment and work area.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Veterinary Clinic, Animal Hospital, or Animal ER/Urgent Care setting is a plus
• Proficiency in technical skills such as restraint, sample collection, and patient monitoring.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Passion for animals and a commitment to compassionate care.
• Familiarity with veterinary practice management software is a plus.

Schedule:

• 40 hours/week (4 days a week work schedule/10 hr shifts)
• Competitive pay based on experience and skills
• $24-28/hr
