About the Role

As the Vice President of Energy and Natural Resources Portfolio Management, you will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic management and performance enhancement of our investment portfolio in energy and natural resources, encompassing oil & gas, renewables, mining, and associated infrastructure assets. Your responsibilities will include the design and optimization of portfolio construction, meticulous financial modeling, scenario analysis, risk assessment, and returns forecasting to empower informed decision-making at the senior leadership level.

You will conduct in-depth analyses of market trends, regulatory changes, commodity cycles, and ESG factors to guide asset allocation strategies, investment origination, diligence, and divestiture operations. In this leadership position, you will mentor a team focused on portfolio management, work collaboratively across investment, operations, legal, compliance, and asset management functions, and deliver comprehensive reports to investors and the executive committee. Your role is crucial in ensuring our portfolio strategy aligns with the broader organizational goals and sustainable initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related area (MBA preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in portfolio management, corporate finance, or asset management specifically in the energy, natural resources, or infrastructure sectors. You should have robust expertise in energy and resource markets, exemplary financial modeling and valuation skills, and proven leadership qualities that inspire and influence senior stakeholders. A solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, ESG and sustainability considerations in the energy and natural resources sectors, as well as portfolio risk controls, is essential. Outstanding communication and presentation skills are also crucial for success in this role.
