Come join our growing Freight Logistics Team! Jordan's Furniture is looking for a Freight Logistics Dock Assistant to help support the Logistics and Receiving Teams. You will be responsible for inbound delivery driver check ins; auditing receiving paperwork and reports, and maintaining yard inventory.

All the responsibilities we trust you with:

• Generates all barcode labels and distributes to Receiving team.
• Generates Receiving Reports for each delivery insuring PODs reflect actual receipts. Communicates discrepancies with the Receiving team and necessary departments, follows through to resolution, and keys applicable comments into Aviion.
• Coordinates with the Receiving Team on driver check ins including checking seals and door assignments.
• Tracks and documents truck arrivals running weekly/monthly reporting for Logistics Management.
• Maintains the Drop Log inventorying equipment in the yard daily and updating status of scheduled drop/hook loads.
• Coordinates container/trailer drops and pick up of ready to ship merchandise in receiving area and communicates trailer/container status to appropriate transportation companies
• Monitors daily procedures to ensure quality standards are met and department paperwork is accurate and timely. Any other function or responsibility as assigned by the Supervisor

What you bring to the table:

• 1-2 years related administrative or receiving experience
• Strong Computer proficiency in MS Office and Warehouse Management Systems
• Must be able to type 35 WPM
• Analytical skills and ability to problem solve
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task efficiently
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
