Job Description

The Rockford Rivets are currently seeking qualified individuals to join our team as Webcast Interns for the 2025 season. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist in producing all 36 home games on the Northwoods League live stream and ESPN+. You will also play a crucial role in pre and post-game cleanup of broadcasting equipment and support various external events. Webcast Interns are integral to creating an outstanding Rockford Rivets fan experience. This unpaid summer internship program runs from mid-May to late August, requiring interns to be available for all home games (36) and any additional events assigned throughout the season. Webcast interns will report directly to the Broadcast Director.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the setup and teardown of cameras and webcast equipment on a daily basis.

- Operate and maintain equipment, including cameras, switchers, and audio/sound equipment.

- Use proper video production terminology to communicate effectively with other webcast interns.

- Learn to work as part of a crew to produce a live webcast product.

-Work closely with Broadcast/Commentator interns

- Share highlights with the social media team for nightly posting on various social media platforms.

Required Skills:

- Eligibility to use the internship for college credit.

- Enrollment in a Mass Communications, Radio, TV, or related major.

- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.

- Availability for training with the video production manager on select dates (league-level training will also be provided).

- Ability to take direction and successfully complete assigned tasks.

- Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and great attention to detail.

- Capability to make decisions and problem-solve in high-pressure situations.

- Strong multitasking abilities.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, reach, and stand/move for extended periods.
