Job Description

An opportunity is available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to support students from preschool through 12th grade at a K-12 school located in Rosamond, CA. This full-semester contract position will span the entire academic year, providing consistent and specialized physical education instruction tailored to the unique needs of students requiring adaptive physical education services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement adaptive physical education programs that accommodate students with diverse physical abilities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress and participation.
• Monitor and assess student performance, adjusting lessons to promote inclusive physical activity.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with school staff.

Qualifications:

• Valid California teaching credential with Adaptive Physical Education certification.
• Experience working with K-12 students in a physical education or adaptive physical education setting.
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and physical adaptations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Details:

• Location: Rosamond, CA
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break
• Contract Duration: Full school year, beginning August 25, 2025, through June 11, 2026
