Segal McCambridge , a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Southfield, Michigan office. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with litigation experience who are looking to take ownership of their cases while working within a collaborative, collegial, and mentorship-driven environment.

Practice Focus

This position will focus primarily on:

• First- and third-party automobile negligence , including PIP and no-fault matters
• Trucking and transportation liability
• Premises liability

You’ll manage your own caseload while receiving mentorship and training from experienced partners in these practice areas.

What We're Looking For

• Active license to practice law in Michigan
• 2+ years of litigation experience , with a focus on auto negligence (first- and third-party)
• Experience drafting pleadings, handling discovery, motion practice, and depositions
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset
• Experience in federal court and ADR is a plus, but not required

Role Highlights

You will immediately contribute to meaningful litigation work, including:

• Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Taking and defending depositions
• Investigating facts and working with expert witnesses
• Participating in hearings, mediations, and trials

This is a hybrid position , offering a flexible mix of remote work and in-office collaboration.
