Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Job Description Position:Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)Status:Exempt, Full-time Reports to:Executive DirectorSalary Range:$75,000 - $90,000 We seek a detail-oriented, versatile professional to handle key accounting responsibilities, manage and optimize our database systems, and administer human resources. This hybrid role requires a strong understanding of data management, solid accounting skills, and experience in human resources. The CAO ensures accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of business operations while building strong employee relations. Responsibilities: Finance & Accounting: oFinancial reporting and budgeting; prepare financial statements. oManage day to day accounting operations. oEnsure compliance with regulators and company policies. oCoordinate with external auditors and prepare/provide necessary documentation. oSupervise administrative staff regarding maintenance of financial records. Human Resources: oAdminister payroll. oKeep current with changes in employment laws/regulations; ensure compliance with same. oManage employee benefits like health insurance, retirement plans, etc. oMaintain compliant personnel files. oDevelop orientation programs for new hires and organize training sessions. Database Management: oOversee the maintenance, security, accuracy, and optimization of company databases. Currently this includes a donor database and a grant management system. oDevelop and generate reports to support business decision-making. oIdentify areas for improvements and implement best practices. Other: oAssess business system and technology capabilities. oOther projects or duties that may be assigned by the executive director Skills and Qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. o Experience with database management tools (e.g. SQL, Access) and Quickbooks. o Minimum 5 years of administrative and leadership experience o Knowledge of fiscal planning, reporting, and budgeting. o Knowledge of management principles and supervisory practices. o Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. o Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills.
