  • Job Summary:
    
    • Primarily responsible for coordinating and reviewing pre-employment health screenings for newly hired employees and annual health requirements for all current employees to include notification and follow-up where indicated. Maintains and updates health records for all hospital employees as needed and no less than annually. Process family medical leave, workers' compensation, and short- and long-term disability requests.
  • Education:
    
    • Position requires an associate's degree (A.A) or diploma program or 2-3 years equivalent combination of education and experience in related area.
  • Registration/Certification/Licensure:
    
    • Registered Nurse - State of Maryland
  • Experience:
    
    • Position requires 2-3 years related experience. Experience with the Family and Medical Leave Act, Workers' Compensation, and employee health preferred.
  • Other Requirements:
    
    • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
    • Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with all population groups and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.
    • Effectively advocates for employee safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.
    • Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, use of Microsoft Office products and other system applications as directed.
    • Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere.
    • Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work.
