At Winter-Dent, our mission is to help individuals and businesses protect what matters most-whether it's their home, their livelihood, or their financial future. As an employee-owned agency, every team member has a stake in our shared success. We're looking for a Financial Advisor to join our team, where you'll provide tailored financial solutions to both employer and individual clients.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Educate clients on available financial solutions and products, strategies for implementation, and the value these benefits bring to employees
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including proper plan documentation and reporting requirements
  • Provide on-going and consistent support to client to ensure continued success of financial products and services

Personal Financial Planning

  • Deliver personalized financial planning, assisting clients with retirement, tax, estate, and investment planning in alignment with their financial goals and risk tolerance
  • Develop strategies to optimize clients' financial growth, proactively plan asset disbursement, and implement risk management strategies to protect wealth
  • Manage and execute securities transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while optimizing portfolio performance
  • Develop and implement investment strategies focused on risk management and asset allocation to help clients meet their financial goals while regularly monitoring portfolio performance

Core Responsibilities

  • Stay current on market trends, financial products, and regulatory changes to offer clients relevant and informed guidance
  • Provide on-going education and guidance to clients, empowering them to make informed financial decisions
  • Serve as a Winter-Dent ambassador, referring clients to relevant agency departments (e.g. property and casualty, employee benefits, bonds) to ensure they receive comprehensive risk management solutions

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Series 6 and 65 license required
  • Series 7 and 66 license preferred but not required
  • Experience in both individual financial advising and business financial solutions is preferred, but we welcome candidates with expertise in either area
  • You possess a strong understanding of financial products, as well as regulatory and compliance standards

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
  • You are self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently
  • You're positive, professional, respectful, and committed to client confidentiality
  • You have a passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities
  • You stay proactive about financial trends and products to better serve clients
  • You demonstrate integrity, ethical decision-making, and team success over individual achievement
  • You prioritize minimizing E&O exposure for yourself and your team
  • You embody our shared core values: Proactive, Continuous Learning, Transparency, We Do What We Say, Lead by Example, Vested, Other People Matter, Pay It Forward

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A generous benefits package, including 2x annual salary in employee life insurance, employer-funded long-term care coverage, short- and long-term disability, a 3% employer contribution to your 401(k) plan (no match required!), competitive health insurance rates, generous PTO, company holidays, and more
  • An Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) that gives you the opportunity to build wealth for your future and a tangible stake in Winter-Dent's success
  • A positive, welcoming, and enjoyable workplace culture
  • A shared vision to be a trusted leader in risk management and insurance solutions, offering security and peace of mind to individuals and organizations
