Job Description
We are currently hiring for a bilingual (English/Japanese) Food Safety Specialist with a client in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Food Science but open to other degrees with relevant experience.
Description
+ Provide documentation to customers (spec sheets, audit certificates, etc.)
+ Communicate with suppliers for documentation
+ Develop and maintain HACCP plans and prerequisite programs
+ Verify labeling and ingredients of imported products
+ Investigate non-conformities and customer complaints
+ Conduct monthly internal audits
+ Research regulations and report fish imports to NOAA
+ Apply/renew certificates and registrations
+ Attend company events and inventory counts
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field (preferred)
+ Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations
+ Familiarity with FDA/USDA labeling and compliance standards
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
+ Experience with internal audits and corrective action processes
+ Knowledge of Japanese food products and ingredients (preferred)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44720.00 - $56160.00/yr.
This is a direct hire placement, once hired you will be entitled to full benefits of the company

This is a fully onsite position in El Monte,CA.
