As an Interior Designer Intern , you will support the interior renovation of projects with varying levels of complexity from design through construction and installation. You will work with and receive mentorship from senior members in the department. The individual in this position will have the opportunity to work with multiple brands and participate in all phases of design for select and full service hotels and multi-family projects. Responsibilities: Possess an interest in interior design and the hospitality industry. Work collaboratively with individuals throughout the organization. Assist in preparing design presentations for Ownership and the hotel Brands using a combination of sketches, PowerPoint and Photoshop. Learn how to communicate with Brand design representatives. Learn how to prepare construction documents. Develop an understanding of interior construction means, methods and procedures as well as building and accessibility codes. Attend weekly project conference calls. Rising junior earning a degree in interior design. Comfortable with personal responsibility and accountability and embraces open communication and collaboration Possess professional poise and polish, and demonstrate flexibility and the ability to communicate verbally to many personality types Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint and Photoshop) Strong desire to learn.
