Job Summary: Chatham's Investment Banking team is seeking an Associate to join their real estate coverage team. The Associate will play a key role in the execution of capital raising (debt and equity) and strategic advisory services for public and private real estate clients, including REITs, developers, and private equity sponsors. Responsibilities include financial modeling, transaction execution, client presentations, and industry research. What You'll Do: Develop and manage dynamic financial models and scenario analysis using Excel and ARGUS Analyze and structure real estate debt transactions across various asset types and capital stacks Conduct primary due diligence and industry research on potential transactions Review documents (loan documentation, leases, appraisals, etc.) Lead the preparation of client presentations, pitch materials, and transaction memos The ideal Associate will be intellectually curious, hardworking, and a quick learner who is process-oriented with strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate enjoys a collaborative environment, has excellent communication skills, and is interested in diverse and challenging work. Contributors to Your Success: 3-5 years of experience in investment baking, private equity, or a related financial field Strong knowledge of real estate finance, REITs, and capital markets Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills Experience working with credit documents, leading the due diligence process, credit analysis, capital structure review and assessing financing alternatives Self-starter and team player with strong organizational and problem-solving skills Effective communicator with strong writing and presentation abilities Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses preferred (or willingness to obtain) About Chatham Financial: Chatham Financial is the largest independent financial risk management advisory and technology firm. Total compensation, including base pay, discretionary individual bonus and company bonus, may be higher than range listed, depending on applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
