This role is in Lakeview in Southern Oregon. Lakeview is the "Tallest Town in Oregon" with an elevation of just under 4,800 feet and is at the Northern end of the Goose Lake Valley. With a small-town feel and around 2,200 in population, this area has a relatively low-cost of living and high-quality of life. Position Summary: We are looking for a reliable and knowledgeable Journeyman Electrician to help our ranching community and possibly relocate from places like Portland, Salem, Eugene or Bend to Lakeview, OR. This role is critical for High Desert Electric but also for Lakeview and the surrounding area providing electrical troubleshooting, service and solutions for all types of problems in this region. This role is fairly independent and requires a self-motivated individual who has a desire to be a contributor and help people out. There is flexibility in the daily schedule, and those who are willing to work hard and go above and beyond will be compensated accordingly, including overtime pay.

Responsibilities

• Meet each morning in the Shop and review schedule for the day
• Coordinate with Dispatcher/Scheduler daily
• Must be flexible in workday and be able to change jobs (emergency response)
• Know the difference between important vs. urgent tasks
• Troubleshoot low-voltage equipment
• Turn in billable hours daily
• Work client orders in company software and enter detailed notes for invoicing
• Make sure materials are ordered or ready for job site
• Need to know about pumps and submersible pumps with ranching customers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Commercial Industrial Electrical experience
• Experience with 3-phase, 480v and high-voltage projects
• Willing to work outside normal 9-5 hours, weekends and emergency calls, OT pay provided
• Must be an independent problem-solver
• Ability to work on all types of projects in a rural environment
• IT experience is helpful, but not required

Compensation Package:

• $40-$45/hr. and overtime pay

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift, full-time
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime as needed
• Weekends as needed
