Multi-Site EHS/HSE Manager - PSM, Chemical Mfg

Safety, Health & Environmental /Process Safety Leader (Dual Site Responsibility)

Location: Northeast Ohio (Akron area) 

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are currently seeking a PSM/Process Safety Management Centric EHS/HSE manager for our facilities in the Akron, OH area, with work to be done ONSITE (not a REMOTE role) and work will cover two facilities.

This role is responsible for chemical processing/manufacturing, working with REACTIVE CHEMICALS, and requires a strong understanding of, and experience in Process Safety Management (PSM) exhibiting knowledge and implementing tools for preventing accidents and involving hazardous cause by OSHA defined hazardous chemicals.

This is a HANDS ON manager/leadership role, directing the work of three direct reports and working directly/indirectly with the entirety of both facilities, in implementing a culture of safety, adherence to the 14 elements of Process Safety Management and an ability to wrap their arms around the opportunities and challenges that exist at our facilities.

The ideally qualified safety leader will bring to the table:

• Experience leading/managing EHS/HSE and PSM across multiple sites/facilities.
• Experience in a chemical manufacturing/processing setting with a strong command of the OSHA regulations and requirements around Hazardous Materials/Chemical protocols and PSM systems.
• Ideally qualified candidates will bring a professional degree in the areas of the scope of the role ( Safety, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, etc.)
• We need a strong safety leader, who can bring an ability and experience developing, transforming, supporting and foster a culture of safety, including a strong ability to implement training programs and employee buy-in and participation.
• Priority consideration will be given to those candidates with additional Safety Certifications, including: CIH, CSP, ASP, or CHMM
