Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract role in Clearwater, Florida. This is a fast-moving opportunity, ideal for pharmacy techs who thrive in high-volume environments and are ready to make an immediate impact.


In this role, you'll handle prescription processing, insurance adjudication, and customer communications while supporting shipping and inventory operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid retail pharmacy background, be tech-savvy with Microsoft Office, and feel confident on the phone.



Assignment Details:
Type: Temporary / Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP (1.52 weeks post-offer)



Key Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions, manage insurance claims, and resolve rejections
• Package and label medications for pharmacist verification
• Conduct data entry and maintain accurate prescription records
• Communicate clearly with patients, prescribers, and team members
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and expiration tracking
• Assist with medication returns and regulatory compliance tasks
• Support cross-training efforts and evolving department needs

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
• PTCB certification
• Minimum 2 years of retail pharmacy experience (not hospital)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Comfortable making and receiving phone calls
• Strong multitasking, time management, and communication skills
