Position: Safety Manager
Location: Southeast Louisiana
Travel within the state required
Pay depends on experience
Safety Representative must have experience in industrial and or/construction safety, hazard recognition, accident investigation and root cause analysis. Additionally, the candidate should have relevant experience with the User’s Business Unit function that they are supporting with respect to the scope of work being performed.
Safety Representative shall be required to understand and comply with User’s safety rules and OSHA’s safety rules/processes. The Safety Representative shall be unwavering in the degree to which he or she coaches, engages, and reinforces those guidelines and processes in the field. The Safety Representative shall possess excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. The qualifications shall be submitted to Contract Manager and Business Unity Safety.
Must possess safety credentials to ensure they have the necessary training and knowledge to effectively identify and address hazards, reducing the risk of injuries and ensuring a safety work environment for everyone involved. Accepted safety credentials include but are not limited to, associate degree or higher. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP), Certified Tree-care Safety Professional (CTSP), Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Certified Occupational Safety Manager (COSM), Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS), OSHA 510 for Construction Industry, or OSHA 511 for General Industry.
