Title: Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Pay: $38 –$40 / hour

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401k.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in Santa Monica. This is an onsite position with the opportunity to convert to full-time. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to process improvement as we continue to scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries; perform account reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Process full-cycle accounts payable, including 3-way match and vendor payments.
• Manage international payments (Spain, Europe) and assist with foreign currency (EUR) transactions.
• Perform AR functions including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Create and maintain ad-hoc financial reports for management.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and contribute to efficiency projects.
• Support cross-functional teams and provide general accounting support as needed.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and month-end close.
• Experience with full-cycle AP, 3-way match, AR, and international payments.
• Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Process improvement and system enhancement projects.
• FX currency exposure (especially EUR).
• Manufacturing or product-based industry background.
• Experience with Studio IT or large ERP systems (trainable if ERP background).
