WHO WE ARE
Led by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Technology Risk secures Goldman Sachs against hackers and other cyber threats. We are responsible for detecting and preventing attempted cyber intrusions, developing secure applications and infrastructure, measuring cybersecurity risk, and implementing cybersecurity controls. Our team operates globally across the Americas, APAC, India, and EMEA.
Within Technology Risk, the Global Cyber Defense & Intelligence (GCDI) team identifies malicious activity, manages vulnerabilities, and investigates threats. We are a team of security, software, and product engineers utilizing detection models, security architecture, and cyber threat analysis to protect the firm. The Cyber Threat Analysis (CTA) team plays a critical role in detecting vulnerabilities and ensuring their remediation before exploitation.

YOUR IMPACT
You will join the Cyber Threat Analysis team, contributing to enhancing the organization's security posture through threat modeling, risk assessment, and industry engagement, working with key stakeholders internally and externally.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
You will lead intelligence sharing and external engagement, collaborating with government agencies and industry groups to improve cybersecurity efforts related to threats, incident response, and emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in threat intelligence and familiarity with the U.S. intelligence community, capable of communicating complex analysis to senior management via reports, models, and presentations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct strategic analysis of the cyber threat landscape related to the firm’s global operations, focusing on geopolitical drivers and regulations.
Assess cyber campaigns, tradecraft, and vulnerabilities to implement risk mitigation measures.
Coordinate across business units to allocate resources and ensure operational continuity during incidents.
Brief executive leadership and steering committees on high-impact threats.
Engage with law enforcement, financial institutions, and government partners through classified briefings to inform risk mitigation.
Collaborate with sector partners such as ARC, FS-ISAC, FSSCC, T-Suite, and JCDC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in cyber threat intelligence, geopolitical risk analysis, or regulatory policy, preferably in finance or government.
Deep understanding of cyber threat tradecraft and adversarial tactics.
Experience working with classified intelligence and government agencies.
Ability to communicate complex threats clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
Strong collaboration skills with industry and law enforcement partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Project and program management experience, with a track record of leading initiatives.
Experience working in a global team environment.
Active participation in industry working groups and thought leadership.
Leadership experience in the financial sector.
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Washington, D.C. position is $150,000–$250,000, with potential discretionary bonuses based on performance.
