Salary: $17 - $18/hr

Are you a passionate, detail-oriented event planner who thrives in a beautiful, mission-driven setting? The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is looking for a motivated Wedding & Event Coordinator to bring "Wow, Wonder, and Welcome" to life for every guest experience.

What Youll Do:

Deliver Wow, Wonder & Welcome

• Be the first point of contact for clients, vendors, and partners and make that first impression unforgettable.
• Ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued through kind, prompt, and professional communication.
• Create positive, lasting memories that reflect empathy, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.

Coordinate Stunning Events

• Manage all aspects of weddings and private events from initial inquiry to day-of execution and breakdown.
• Lead venue tours, consult with clients, and plan every detail of their dream event.
• Actively drive sales and meet weekly, monthly, and annual event revenue goals.
• Use Bookings software and shared calendars to manage scheduling, appointments, and coordination.

Collaborate & Innovate

• Work hand-in-hand with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution.
• Assist with marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, blog posts, and promotional materials.
• Support fundraising and public events as needed.
• Promote and support diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in all interactions and operations.

What You Bring:

Education & Experience

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in event planning or event coordination (nonprofit experience a plus).

Skills & Traits

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of initiative, organization, and enthusiasm.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
