About the Role & Program:

ABC Localish is a media brand dedicated to celebrating cities and cultures across America. We create feel-good shows for ABC and Hulu streaming platforms, branded video content for our Disney partners including ESPN, National Geographic, and Disney Channel, as well as stories for our ABC TV stations.

The Localish Network reaches over 17 million TV subscribers and a network of over 30 million followers on social.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the New York, New York area from January 2026-June 2026.

What You Will Do:

The ABC Localish Digital & eCommerce Intern calls for a university-level talent who is interested in growing and applying their existing knowledge of content production to support our creative and e-commerce initiatives. The individual will be involved in all parts of our content production process uplifting our local communities with an emphasis on our eCommerce content verticals. This candidate’s day-to-day will include brainstorming ideas, writing ecommerce service journalism articles, shooting/editing live content and digital stories for distribution across multiple digital and broadcast endpoints.

This person should aspire to find unique stories and content opportunities that can resonate with our audiences and should have strong written communication skills that speak to different communities across America.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ability to independently produce, shoot and edit short form stories, plus if in the commerce space

  • Strong AP writing skills with some knowledge of e-commerce service journalism trends that can drive sales across platforms

  • Understanding of social platforms including distribution and analysis

  • Assist in original storytelling research for content ideation

  • Some experience with content management systems and HTML

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information:

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

  • Fully available from January 2026 through June 2026

  • Fully available from Monday through Friday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in the New York, New York area
