Associate or Full Specialist - Minor lab
The candidate will engage in functional and structural studies of ion channel:chaperone interactions. Specific focus is on defining mechanisms by which multisubunit ion channels interact with key intracellular chaperone complexes, characterizing composition changes by biochemical, mass spectrometry, and structural methods, and investigating perturbations caused by disease mutations. The candidate will be responsible for conducting biochemical and structural studies. Approaches include expression in mammalian cells, biochemical methods, X-ray crystallography, and cryo-electronmicroscopy.
