Job Details
Responsibilities:
Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews and analyses of balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying trends and anomalies for Senior Management and operational team review.
Create and manage monthly reporting packages for senior management, and lead monthly result reviews with various organizational disciplines.
Develop and produce reports and deliverables that provide valuable data to management and operational teams.
Handle technical accounting matters related to ASC 932 and the successful efforts method of accounting, including overseeing acquisitions, divestitures, trades, and other transactions.
Supervise communication, procedures, and accounting for M&A activities.
Review settlement statements and collaborate with third parties to finalize transactions.
Prepare and review work papers and schedules related to the company’s consolidated financial statements and other reporting requirements.
Facilitate and support independent annual audits and quarterly reviews of the company’s financial records.
Maintain an effective control environment in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, particularly concerning journal entries and analysis.
Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent required; CPA preferred.
Over 7 years of relevant work experience, particularly in Upstream O&G/public accounting, with specific experience in the oil and gas industry.
Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and knowledge of ASC 932 Successful Efforts Oil and Gas Accounting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with Quorum, FloQast, Assent, Workiva, and Spotfire software
