Position Title: Junior Graphic Designer Location: McLean, VA (Fully Onsite) Duration: 5 months assignment with possible extension Overview: Seeking a highly creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you will assist the lead designer from concept to execution, working on a variety of projects that align with our brand strategy and business objectives. As a junior-level designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional departments and ensure high-quality deliverables that meet deadlines and exceed expectations. Responsibilities: 1. Creative Design & Execution: Develop and execute innovative designs for digital and print assets, including branding, marketing materials, websites, social media, and event materials Ensure consistency with the brand's visual identity across all platforms and channels. 2. Concept Development: Translate creative briefs into compelling visual concepts that align with project goals and target audiences. Present design ideas and strategies to stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design choices. 3. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize asks, seek counsel, and meet deadlines without compromising quality. Collaborate with project managers, business subject matter experts, marketers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication. 4. Trend Analysis & Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, design tools, and best practices to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the team. Experiment with new techniques and technologies to push creative boundaries. 5. Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, content, and product teams to understand campaign objectives and deliver appropriate visual solutions. Coordinate with external vendors, printers, or contractors as needed. Review team projects to maintain high design standards and brand consistency. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in an agency or in-house creative team environment. Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in a variety of design projects, including branding, digital design, short-form video and print work. Skills: dvanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop, Illustrator and other relevant design tools. Experience with tools like Canva is a plus. Strong typography, layout, and color theory skills. Exceptional attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong time management and organizational abilities. Preferred: Some experience in motion graphics or video editing. Familiarity with web design principles, HTML/CSS knowledge, or interactive media.
