Job Description:
Seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to provide general ledger experience to support efficient & effective accounting practices. Overall responsibilities include:
• Maintain general ledger, including preparation and posting of journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close process, including reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers for inventory, AR, AP, and sales tax.
• Prepare monthly financial statement supporting schedules and analysis.
• Prepare customer billings, including review of sales tax exemption status.
• Maintain accounts receivable trial balance and customer files.
• Evaluate accounting policies and procedures for potential enhancements to ensure best practices.
• Provide supporting documentation for auditor requests.
Qualifications:
• Relevant undergraduate degree in business, finance or accounting required.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in finance or accounting, including:
• General Ledger
• Accounts Receivable
• Sales Tax
• Understanding of accounting cycle transaction flow
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
