Job Description

We are looking for multiple Senior Cerner Lab/MDI Analysts to join a prominent healthcare system on a 3-year fully remote contract. There are also multiple project-based roles available for 3-6 month contracts.

The Senior Cerner Lab/MDI Analyst will be part of the Laboratory Information Services department within the Outreach & Anatomic Pathology team. The ideal candidate will have HL7 experience—specifically working with interfaces and implementations of LIS to LIS or LIS to EMR interfaces. Experience leading projects is highly preferred.

This role will not be configuring the interface (meaning actual connectivity, VPN, etc.), but will coordinate with those that do this - as part of project oversight. The Senior Cerner Lab/MDI Analyst will participate in regular calls with all parties involved in implementation project and ultimately lead calls. Other duties include but not limited to keeping project agendas, project plans and minutes up to date and sharing with the team. In addition, the Senior Cerner Lab/MDI Analyst will be involved in Cerner code set aliasing and other tasks to prepare for the interface and perform validation testing as defined by the project plan to ensure successful implementation and satisfying regulatory requirements for testing. The Senior Cerner Lab/MDI Analyst will have run the business responsibilities in addition to implementations.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience required.
• Cerner PathNet and iBUS (CareAware) experience required.
• MDI experience required.
• REMISOL Advance and Data Innovations Middleware experience highly preferred.
• LifePointe LIS Software experience highly preferred.
• Requires knowledge of multi-application and system interdependencies including experience with implementing LIS to LIS or LIS to EMR interfaces
• Working knowledge of reading/interpreting HL7 message segments.

Responsibilities:

• Supports the enterprise-wide laboratory information system and service delivery initiatives.
• Administers and maintains security of operating systems.
• Configures, installs, maintains, and upgrades laboratory information systems hardware and software under limited supervision. Administers and maintains security of systems.
• Provides operational support for the organization's information systems, peripheral equipment, and clinical applications.
• Provides project oversight for the organization's information systems, peripheral equipment, and clinical applications.
• Performs Cerner code set aliasing and other tasks to prepare for the interface and perform validation testing as defined by the project plan to ensure successful implementation and satisfying regulatory requirements for testing.
• Provides support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware.
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
• Works with other teams and vendors to accomplish goals.
